MIBIscope™

The MIBIscope™ multiplexed ion beam tissue imaging instrument combines purified-metal-isotope tagged probes with ToF-SIMS. This innovative technology enables high-definition spatial proteomics in order to achieve phenotype mapping and actionable analysis of tissue microenvironments, marking a critical step forward in disease research.
Oregon Physics has long contributed core engineering expertise to the system since its inception, including the design and manufacturing of the primary ion source used in every instrument.
In 2025, Oregon Physics acquired MIBIscope™ intellectual property and digital assets from previous manufacturer Ionpath, including patents, trademarks, software, product designs, and documentation.
As of September 2025, Oregon Physics has assumed responsibility for manufacturing, service, and ongoing development of the MIBIscope™ platform.
MIBIscope™ is deployed in high-impact human studies demonstrating reproducible, large-scale spatial proteomics across complex tissue types. We are proudly working to ensure operational continuity and long-term platform stability for the global MIBIscope™ research community.
