Meet Our Team

In the nearly twenty years since its founding, Oregon Physics has grown from 4 members to 31. Together, our employees have over 200 years of professional experience, with more than 100 of those years spent here at Oregon Physics. Our team members have completed over 120 cumulative years of education to earn secondary degrees from associates to doctorates. Roughly half of them are physicists and a quarter are mechanical engineers, but you’ll find electronics technicians, operations managers, technical writers, industrial drafters, program managers, and financial controllers among their ranks, too.

Oregon Physics employees represent a wealth of experience across various industries ranging from semiconductors to aerospace, from software to manufacturing, from STEM education to business administration. Collectively, they’ve authored more than 15 publications, held over 28 patents, and earned titles from ‘Craftsman of the Year’ to ‘First Person to Achieve Reflection Mode Neutral Atom Microscopy.’ Many of them are native Oregonians, but Oregon Physics employees call seven different states and six countries home.

Their hobbies are numerous and varied. Whether you’re a craftsman (home improvement, woodworking, beekeeping) or have a need for speed (building and flying aerobatic aircrafts, cars and motorsports); whether you love sports (snowboarding, mountain biking, skiing, swimming, volleyball, dancing, marathon running) or the great outdoors (gardening, hunting, fishing/crabbing/clamming, camping, hiking); whether you’re a creative type (writing, voice acting, collage, painting, photography, bass guitar) or a proud nerd (video games, trivia, obscure medical history, science communication/public health, 3D printing), you’re sure to find yourself in good company here. The office pet tally currently sits at seven dogs, four cats.
